Question
Answer
Where did you grow up and what did you love most about that part of the world?

I grew up west of Brisbane, where there’s more of that nature feel — no city in sight. What I loved most was how peaceful it was, tucked away amongst the trees with nature right at the doorstep. There were always kangaroos around the neighbourhood — I still remember seeing them in our backyard growing up!

What first got you hooked on what you do today?

I’ve always loved adventure and camping. I grew up going on beach trips with my family, and even though that slowed down when I was a teenager, I found my way back to it through my Jimny. It started as weekend getaways, but it became so much more - it opened up this whole new world of exploring. But what really hooked me was sharing my experiences and empowering other women to go out and do the same. I’m forever learning and growing, and the best part is — you don’t need to know everything to just pack your car and explore. You learn along the way.

What do you love about the Suzuki brand?

Suzuki has this adventurous and fun spirit. It’s about freedom and simplicity — not overcomplicating things, just getting out there and enjoying the drive. Every Suzuki I’ve owned has given me the confidence to go further and explore more.

When you’re not ‘at work’ what do you like to do to switch off and have a bit of fun?

I’m usually camping or exploring — that’s my happy place. But I also love self-development and spending time with the people I love (normally we do fun activities together). Whether it’s a beach drive, a slow morning at camp, doing activities with friends, that’s how I reset.

Suzuki Queensland has been around since 1974 — what do you love about how the brand has evolved?

I love that Suzuki has stayed true to its roots — reliable, capable, and fun — while still evolving with the times. The Jimny is the perfect example: it’s modern and stylish, but still built for real adventure.

What’s been your proudest moment — personally or professionally?

Becoming a Suzuki Queensland brand ambassador is definitely one of my proudest moments — especially because I’ve only ever owned Suzukis. But another really special moment for me was hosting my first-ever Girls Adventure Day. It was some of the women’s first time off-roading, and getting to guide them through that and see their confidence grow is something I’ll never forget. That day will always have a place in my heart.

If you weren’t doing what you do now, what would your ‘Plan B’ look like?

Probably something still outdoors and community-driven — maybe running adventure or wellness retreats for women. I’d love to create spaces where women can connect, learn new skills, and build confidence in nature.

What Suzuki are you currently driving and how does it fit into your lifestyle?

I’m driving a 2022 Suzuki Jimny GLX in Chiffon Ivory Metallic with a Black roof (also known as Jim) — my dream car! It’s perfect for me — small enough to zip around town, but tough enough to handle any beach or track I throw at it.

Are you any good in the kitchen — and if so, what’s your ‘go-to’ meal?

I’m not that fancy in the kitchen — my meals usually stick to my weekly meal plans 😅 But my go-to would definitely be a yellow curry! It’s simple, full of flavour, and always hits the spot.

Where’s your favourite Aussie spot to escape to for a bit of R&R?

Double Island Point will always be my number one — it’s where I grew up camping with my family and now where I go to reset on solo trips. But lately, I’ve been loving a hinterland camp called Larapinta — it’s got 4WD tracks and private campsites, perfect for a fun little escape.

If your Suzuki could talk, what do you reckon it would say about you?

Jim would probably say, “She’s always chasing the next adventure!” 😂 Whether it’s sunrise drives, beach days, or dirt tracks — we’re always on the go, making memories along the way.

What’s one line of advice you’d give to someone chasing a dream like yours?

Start before you’re ready. You don’t have to have it all figured out — just take that first step and learn as you go. Remember, you’re more capable than you think, and most of the time it’s your mindset — not your circumstances — that’s holding you back. You are the only one standing between where you are and the life you truly desire. Once you realise that, everything changes.
