MEET @HERJIMNY

Hey, I’m Paris! You might know me as the woman behind the wheel of Her Jimny. As a passionate 4WD enthusiast, I’m fuelled by my love for solo adventures and driven by a mission to empower women to confidently explore off-road tracks. I’m always excited to share my tips, tricks, and experiences with my growing community of like-minded off-roaders!

MEET @HERJIMNY

What model and year Jimny do you own?

I own a 2022 Jimny GLX!

Favourite Jimny feature?

I have so many favourite features, but the top one must be how small and compact the Jimny is! It’s not just great for off-roading, it makes parking anywhere an absolute breeze!

Do you have a nickname for your Jimny?

Of course I do, it’s Jim! (classic I know)

What’s been your most memorable experience with your Jimny?

My most memorable experience with my Jimny has to be the first time I drove it on the beach! It was at Moreton Island in October 2022, and the thrill of beach driving in a Jimny is something I’ll never forget. I was excited and a bit nervous, but that moment sparked my love for beach driving, and it never gets old!

Why is a Jimny perfect for Queenslanders?

The Jimny is the perfect beach companion for Queenslanders! It’s ideal for beach driving, and if you opt for the Ivory colour, it’s like a match made in heaven with the sandy shores of Queensland.

Manual or auto transmission?

My Jimny is an auto! (My first auto car, I had a Swift Manual before Jim)

Original 3 door or 5 door (XL) fan?

3 door all the way, it’s the OG Jimny!

Who rides shotgun in your Jimny?

Most of the time, it’s just me and my trusty Jimny! Occasionally, my bestie hops in for the ride, but it’s usually a solo adventure!

What’s your best Jimny driving tip for off road (or anywhere)?

My top tip for beach driving in the Jimny is to adjust your tire pressure to suit the sand. For general beach driving, I recommend around 19 psi, but if you’re hitting softer sand, dropping it to 16 psi gives you better traction and control.

Favourite Jimny colour?

It’s of course the Ivory with black roof!

Favourite Jimny accessory?

I’ve got plenty of accessories on my Jimny, but one of my favourites must be the Foot Illumination Lights – they add a fun touch to my night drives!

What mods have you done to your Jimny (if any)?

I have a lot of mods and accessories, here’s a run through:

What mods do you plan to do to your Jimny (if any)?

I have done most of the mods I want to so far, so this is a tricky one. But in future maybe a new style front/back will be on Her Jimny… and accessories will be exterior lighting around my Jimny!

Where do you see you and your Jimny in 5 years?

In 5 years, I’d love to be exploring different parts of Australia with Jim – that’s on my bucket list!

If you could make your own Jimny bumper sticker, what would it say?

‘I May Be Small, But I Can Still Tow Your Ego’

‘Empowered by Adventure, Driven by Her’

‘Making Off-Roading An Empowering Adventure’ – Her Jimny tagline

Most drool-worthy Jimny rig you’ve ever seen?

I must say it would have to be The Little Rig – I just love the way he’s built his Jimny and chopped a tray & canopy onto it!

If you could take your Jimny off-road anywhere in the world, where would you take it?

It would be to Western Australia the 4WD beaches there are insane!

What’s a local drive on your bucket list?

Booloumba creek, I’ve heard so many good things about it!

Words of wisdom for anyone thinking about buying a Jimny?

My advice for anyone considering a Jimny: Think about why you want one and if it’s the right size for your needs. Also, consider the mods and accessories you’ll want to add, and weigh the pros and cons like any vehicle. But most importantly, you’ll be missing out on joining an incredible community if you don’t go for it!
