Stav Davidson

Stav Davidson

Brisbane has woken up with Stav Davidson for over a decade. As a member of the hit105 breakfast team he has enjoyed making Brisbane laugh on their daily commute to work for more than 16 years...

During that time, he has also Co-hosted Couchtime on channel eleven for 4 years and performed stand-up comedy all around Australia.

Stav continues to be a genuine top-bloke that we are proud to be associated with, as he loves getting involved with our brand and our people.

Stav and his family are now cruising the streets of Brisbane in a Suzuki S-Cross so if you spot him around, make sure you give him a gentle 'heckle' and say g'day!

Answer
Where did you grow up and what did you love best about that part of the world?

I was born in Scotland and grew up in Glasgow. The best thing about that part of the world is that Christmas is in winter, so it actually makes sense! 38 degrees on Christmas day I will never get used to…..

What other jobs did you do prior to media/comedy/radio?

A few... I managed a subway store, ran a café in the city and my favourite, I worked at blockbuster video for a year…….

What do you love about the Suzuki brand?

Honestly I have been an ambassador for other car brands in the past and Suzuki just suits my personality so much better. It's about fun and active living and reliability. Perfect.

When you're not 'at work' what do you like to do to unwind?

I play a lot of guitar (sorry neighbours!) I’m just getting back into gaming buying a PS5 and I love going to the movies with my daughter Rori.

Suzuki Queensland (cars) has been around since 1974. What were you doing in 1974...?

I was born in 1978 so I guess I was waiting for my dad to get lucky ; )

I think just managing to be in the entertainment industry for 19 years (and counting) is my biggest achievement. I still can't believe I've made a living off  making people laugh.

If you weren't a professional media star, what type of work would you be doing?

I would be singing covers at a bowls club on a Sunday afternoon.

What Suzuki model are you currently driving and how does it fit into your lifestyle?

I have the S-Cross and it’s the perfect car for our family. There's only three of us (four counting the dog) so the car is the perfect size for all our needs.

Are you a good cook, and if so, what's your 'go-to' meal?

I am - I wanted to become a chef at one stage. I do all the cooking at home but my go to isn’t a meal it's platters... I am a platter king!

What's your favourite destination in Australia to holiday in?

Tasmania’s pretty spectacular and the food there is second to none.

Who's your favourite comedian in the whole world?

Pretty sure I have to say my wife, who is also a comedian,  but also the late great Norm Macdonald.

What's one line of advice to young Aussie media/comedy starlets?

Be yourself. Don’t change yourself to fit the gig or you’ll be stuck with that the rest of your career.
